Pre X-mas Eve at Boho Green Hills

I must still say sometimes in life you have to just trust yourself and take that step….now this is not just applicable for travel but as well for few things in life – because we all just want to be in our comfort zone always. We tend to make those perfect plans and perfect itinerary and then travel but at times no plan is the best plan. We happen to be on this trip arranged by a known acquaintance as we had no plans for Christmas.

The reason we had no plans was that half of our family was travelling to native to attend something important and so here me and my 6-year kid was left home for the Christmas vacations. So, as I say in my introduction that I am born with wheels, I am kind of that buzzing me who can’t be home for holidays at least.

A Friend was arranging a Pre-Xmas night at Boho Green Hills, and we just decided to be on the same. This was one of the trips when we choose for group travel arranged by the event manager as I choose not to drive with my toddler. The journey was pleasant, and everything was taken care and my little one enjoyed the Bus trip to Boho green Hills with no fuss. We carried few homemade snacks and fruits and chocolates, and we were good for our Road trip via bus and in company of some young couples around us.

Once we reached the place to be kind of honest my toddler didn’t find the place that fun and I won’t deny to the same the Farmland is just ok. Yes, it does look great in pictures but it’s one of the places where if any event is well organized it surely can be fun.

On our trip the event had a very informative session with Sir Sunil Natraj’s – A 49-year-old from Bengaluru who basks the Everest glory. I can’t describe how delighted me, and my toddler was to just hear his story and all the planning that goes when someone must plan such cult things at that age of 49. But looking at him we felt that he is just 20 from heart to achieve what he wants to as compared to we all youngsters in our 30s or 40s and already just feel that live gets boring and monotonous at times.

As well we had a fluid art activity planned with Sheena and Banjara gypsy trip by Miss Noor. Oh, she was an amazing girl with so much passion in her heart for the art. The fluid art we did we carried as a return gift from the trip.

Post to that we had a tarot card reader who shared her journey towards inner healing, and it was just too inspirational to hear these amazing people.

Then comes the X-Mas eve celebration which had a Live band playing followed by a sumptuous dinner and bonfire and plum cake. The band was amazing and who doesn’t like live music playing.

As it was not a very formal event it turned into an open mic as well where people can just do anything like – stand-up comedy, poetry or sing a song.

Our stay was arranged in a camp, where we had a sleeping bag and comfortable mattress as well. So, we had a nice cozy night.

The next day started with a Yoga session followed by a pottery class and a simple light breakfast.

If I must describe the place in specifics – it was beautiful and a simple place to be. I really enjoyed the sunset and sunrise from there. The food arranged is limited but was simple and homely so if you like that you will enjoy your meals. But if you are expecting variety and too much spicy options – that’s difficult as the staff can’t handle those requests. This was one of the things I felt as well if you understand and speak Kannada it will surely help to interact with the staff.

The tents are good, and all arrangements are beautifully done. There are three shared washrooms in total for all the guests. You won’t find a shower options for sure as normally the camp stays don’t offer that. That’s on the accommodation side.

As well I feel if the event is not arranged, and you are a small group it might just get little boring so keep that in mind in case you plan to drive to the place and want to have some fun.

From what I know from my friend you can ask the owner to arrange few events for the group and you are in good company that would be a great place for any celebration with family or friends.

Just let me know if you happen to travel there, do write – how was your experience!!
